In today’s fast paced world, we are constantly on the go, striving for continual improvement and greatness. We are not allowed to take things slowly, feel tired, or take a break. Despite such a lifestyle providing us with certain achievements at home or work, in the long term, this is not sustainable and can lead to burn out. But by taking time to rest and relax, we can reduce stress and improve our overall health. You’ll be able to easily work a full day and improve your focus. Creating time to quiet your thoughts and letting your mind rest is part of the healing process.
Rest and Relaxation is the sixth installment in our ten part Body Wellness Series Workshops. This two-hour class begins by entering into a clairvoyant state; a space of spiritual doing, but one in which the physical body is at rest. From there we will explore the dichotomy of being active versus inactive, clearing the pictures, programming, and patterns that get us stuck in “go, go, go” and not allowing us to have the time we need to do nothing and relax. Sleep is another aspect of rest which will be healed during class so that we can fully release earthly burdens, allow the body to recover, and fully recharge our energy levels. Accomplishing tasks in our daily life is rewarding, but taking the time to relax is required in order to make our dreams come to fruition.
