Psychics with Jobs; Psychic Spies
The History of the Psychic Spy Training Programme, Espionage, and The Cold War
The Psychic Spy is employed to uncover secret information by using psychic abilities. Remote Viewing is one method a psychic may use to gather information.
History
During the Cold War, the U.S. government developed a potent way to work against the Soviets: the psychic Spy. In the 1970s, the CIA recruited men and women who claimed to have the powers of extrasensory perception (ESP) to spy and gather military and domestic intelligence secrets.
The Stargate Project ran from the 1970s until 1995 and employed psychics who were trained in remote viewing who participated in operations ranging from locating kidnapped hostages to finding fugitives within the United States. In 1985 they allegedly remote viewed to Mars to gather information.
Soviet Project
The Stargate Project began as a response to the discovery by military and intelligence sources that the Soviet Union may have been funding research and development on ESP and psychokinesis ( the ability to move things with the mind) for the purpose of espionage. In discovering this, the CIA funded their own projects through the Stanford Research Institute.
The mentalist Uri Geller, an ex-Israeli paratrooper, was brought to the Institute for testing. Geller had developed a reputation for being able to bend spoons, however, the CIA was more interested in his mind-reading and mind control capabilities.
Psychic Spies in Action
Joseph McMoneagle worked on the government’s program. He was involved in 450 missions between the years of 1978 to 1984. He helped the army locate hostages in Iran and found a shortwave radio that was hidden in the pocket calculator of a KGB agent captured in South Africa.
Angela Dellafiora Ford tracked down a customs agent in 1989 who had gone on the run and was able to pinpoint his location. She said that he was in Lowell Wyoming. When they apprehended him he was found in a town 100 miles west of a Wyoming town called Lovell.
Recent Times
Even though The Stargate Project was shuttered, the U.S. government continued the investigation and research into psychic work. In 2014, The Office of Naval Research launched a multi-million-dollar 4-year research program to study the use of premonition and intuition. It was fondly named the project “Spidey Sense”.
The CIA was forced to release thousands of documents including the information on the Stargate Project. Despite this, the government continues to deny that they actively used psychics in military operations while.
The movie Men Who Stare At Goats looks at the government’s use of psychic spies and although some of the cases were embellished, the majority have roots in actual events. The movie is based on the non-fiction book ay Colonel John B. Alexander. He was a Special Forces commander in Vietnam and promoted the use of psychics as ‘remote viewers’ in the name of national security. He even claimed that the military was employing witches to do palmistry, use crystal balls, and other methods to gather information and predictions.
In the 1960s, Boeing conducted psychic experiments to discover that some subjects could make a random number generator produce a number at will. In 1985, a military report stated that “psychokinesis could, with continued research, have a potential military value for future military operations “. Even up until 1996 the phenomena of ‘eyeless vision’ were investigated. There are still psychic spies working for the military and who have been more recently ‘reactivated’. A 2007 report even suggested that the 9/11 attacks had been predicted by remote viewers several years prior to the event.
Psychic Abilities and Spirituality
There are many questions as to whether it is morally correct to spy on behalf of organizations and engage in psychic work that is questionable in nature, such as stealing information or finding documents that are top secret. Another question is how a psychic could engage in discovering information that may cause harm to others? The truth is that being psychic is not necessarily synonymous with spirituality or possessing some higher moral code of conduct.
People often confuse psychic abilities and phenomena with the spiritual, but the ability is present regardless of personal values. For this reason, the morality, values, and ways in which psychic abilities are used are up to the individual’s own inner compass and reasoning.
