Aliens, Extraterrestrials, and Psychic Awareness

Alien and extraterrestrial life forms, their potential existence, and contact with humans have fascinated many generations. From movies and books depicting large-eyed green figures and saucer-like spacecraft, these images have existed in the collective unconscious since the early 20th century.
It is believed that aliens may have contacted ancient civilizations and shared their knowledge with them. This has fueled series such as Ancient Aliens, numerous movies, books, and theories around their existence and purpose. People claim they have been abducted and that contact has already been made with Aliens. Some of the results are increased psychic awareness.
History
The Ancient Astronaut, or Ancient Alien Theory that believes that there were visitors from off-planet. Proponents state that aliens visited the earth during that time and shared wisdom and technology that helped humanity to advance. Other theories include that we may derive from aliens. Adding to the narrative books, film, and television, like the popular series “Ancient Aliens” play off of this curiosity.
To further this theory is that humans are either descendant of extraterrestrial intelligence, which would make these ETs a sort of “mother culture”, or that humans were heavily influenced by these visits. The visitors might have constructed major monuments such as pyramids around the world and giants of Easter Island. Other terms used for these Ancient Aliens are Ancient Astronauts or Ancient UFOnauts.
Indigenous groups have spoken of their ancestors in terms of “Star People”. Stories a how they would visit Earth in flying silver discs and communicate with the groups. The Hopi people and the Dakota tribe openly believe that their ancestors originated from the Pleiades. The Cree people believe that they originated from the stars as spirits, who later incarnated as humans. The Lakota people have long spoken of mysterious entities who have visited their people in spheres of light.
Some people make a distinction between the terms alien and extraterrestrial. An alien refers to a life form or intelligence that originates from another planet. There are many common perceptions of aliens as well as categories for the various alien “races”. Aliens have to be viewed as having positive or negative intentions depending on the species. An extraterrestrial refers to a life that originates from off-planet.
Alien Abductions
Many people believe that they have been abducted by aliens. While the scientific community tends to dismiss this as either a form of psychosis or a side effect of sleep paralysis, recounts of these events are saturated in popular culture. Those who have been taken call themselves abductees or experiences. Their narratives have many common threads that unite them.
Among the claims, are unusual medical examinations, toying with reproduction, and warning of the dire consequences of humanity’s behavior. Such reports were most prevalent in the 1970s, the first account was by Betty and Barney Hill in 1961. The events follow a similar narrative story arc with abduction, examination, conference, tour, losing time, and a return, where in some cases their memory is could or wiped.
Abductees often note a heightened sense of psychic awareness following these experiences, as well as some trauma. Researchers like Mary Rodwell have devoted their lives to working with people who believe that they have been abducted and recording their experiences. Through methods such as hypnosis, experiences that are buried are able to surface and treated with counseling and therapy if needed.
Contemporary Views of Alien Life
Alien life and its potential existence are ingrained in the collective human psyche. More contemporary views of alien life include visits from “little green men” in the night, being transported onto a ship, and other activities. However, It was not until the 1950s that there was a more scientific investigation into the existence of alien life. It was the space age and there was a race to get to the moon and beyond.
In 1959 two physicists from Cornell University, Giuseppe Cocconi and Philip Morrison wrote a short article in Nature magazine entitled “Searching for Interstellar Communications”. Their main question was if we were looking for intelligent life in the universe how would we find it? How would this life form communicate with us in a perceptible way?
They postulated that it would be through electromagnetic waves of a certain frequency. They would tune in at 1420 MHz, which is the emission frequency of hydrogen, the original element that is abundant in the universe. In 1984, The Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence Institute, or SETI was born out of this early postulate.
Timeline of Alien Research and Discovery
- 1959
- Cornell University – Physists Giuseppe Cocconi and Philip Morrison, wrote their article in Nature magazine Early stages of SETI research begins.
- 1961
- Greenbank West Virginia – Frank Drake along with a handful of other astronomers and scientists (including Carl Sagan) write a mathematical formula to determine how many intelligent civilizations might be living in our galaxy.
- 1971
- NASA Project Cyclops, the team, and its resulting report document were the first large-scale investigation into practical SETI.
- 1974
- Arecibo Message– Drake and Sagan designed the binary radio signal held within it information about the makeup of our DNA and pictographs of a man, the solar system, and the Arecibo telescope. The telescope famously collapsed on December 1, 2020, and the data collected was potentially lost.
- 1977
- The Big Ear radio telescope operated by Ohio State University. It was the size of three football fields and looked like a giant silver parking lot with scaffolding for enormous drive-in movie screens at either end. The Big Ear received a signal for 72 seconds which went so far off the charts that the astronomer monitoring the signal print-outs circled the alphanumeric sequence and wrote “Wow!”
- 1977
- Voyager Probes – The golden records contain 115 video images, greetings spoken in 55 languages, 90 minutes of music from around the world, as well as a selection of natural sounds like birdsongs, surf, and thunder. Hydrogen is the key to unlocking the messages describes in the map locating the sun in the Milky Way. There are instructions on how to unlock the information by playing the record. It’s even electroplated with a sample of Uranium so that it might be half-life dated far in the future.
- 1983
- The Pioneer 10 Plaque. Sagan and Drake design a plaque with a figure of a man and woman to scale with the image of a spacecraft, the frequency of hydrogen, and maps that outline the parts of our solar system. It was the first man-made object to leave the solar system and will take at least two million years before either reach another star.
- 1992
- NASA finally implemented a working SETI program, called the High-Resolution Microwave Survey Targeted Search (HRMS) It lost its funding nearly a year to the day later in October of 1993.
- 1994 – 2004
- Phoenix Project and ran for a decade entirely on funding from private donations. It used a variety of large telescopes from around the world to conduct its research, observing nearly 800 stars in the neighborhood of up to 240 light-years away. It never detected a signal.
- 2009 – 2018
- NASA’s Kepler Mission is a space telescope [left] designed to point itself at one field of stars in our galaxy for nearly four years, never wavering from that single point of focus, continuously monitoring the brightness of more than 100,000 stars.
Alien Activity and Psychic Awareness
Many alien abductees recount an experience where they feel as if they are being spoken to telepathically and manipulated psychically. They speak of having their thoughts invaded and memories read. They also speak of how it is as if their memory is erased after an experience. Hypnosis and regression are ways in which an abductee or experiencer access repressed memories so that they may surface to be healed.
Another account by abductees or experiencers is having a heightened sense of psychic sensibilities ranging from telepathy to claircognizance, clairvoyance, and psychometry. These heightened senses sometimes stay and continue to develop well beyond the initial experience. Some argue that these events unlock abilities that were already present, rather than bringing them online for the first time. Many people view uncovering these abilities as the next step in human evolution and believe it would be logical that aliens have the ability to communicate non-verbally.
A Psychic Perspective
From a psychic perspective, in its simplest form, alien energy may be viewed as foreign energy (energy that is not yours) which may be released using meditation and psychic tools. When encountering alien energy as a form of foreign energy, clearing it is a starting point for gaining clarity to read and heal and experience greater joy in the body and self- empowerment.
When in doubt, reading the energy to see what resonates as true is another way to come to an understanding of foreign energy. It is always wise to work from your own knowing and information, finding answers that resonate with you rather than relying on an outside source.
It is very possible that people who are attuned to their psychic awareness have a personal experience, understanding, and a connection with aliens and extraterrestrials, or have experienced abduction or an alien encounter. Like any information, it is.
