Psychic ‘Superpowers’; Telepathy, Telekinesis, and Teleportation
As a child, it was fun to pretend to have the psychic superpowers of your favorite T.V. and movie characters. How exciting it was to pretend that our minds might move things, send and receive thoughts, and time travel. As an adult, far-fetched fantasies of Jedi mind tricks, time-traveling Doloreans and comic book superhero powers may seem like the product of creative imagination but many believe that these abilities are not just child’s play and exist as a human potential.
Telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation run through storylines in comic books, action movies, and even video games. There is the classic Jedi Mind trick from the Star Wars franchise, supernatural abilities of the characters in Dr. Strange and who can forget the scene in the Matrix when a child was bending a spoon when Neo visits The Oracle? There are stories recounting the lives of monks and Rishis that could levitate, mind-bend, time travel and send messages with their minds.
There is growing proof that these extra-sensory abilities exist through scientific studies and first-hand accounts. Is it possible that these ‘superpowers’ are not unique, supernatural or even extrasensory, but rather latent human abilities that have been forgotten in time? And if they exist, what is the purpose?
What is Telepathy?
Telepathy is the ability project thoughts, words, pictures, and ideas person to person without verbal, sensorial or physical communication. It is possible to transmit and receive messages. The Japanese have a word for this unspoken form of communication ‘Ishin-Denshin’ meaning “ what the mind thinks, the heart transmits,” and communicating “from one heart to another”.
Telepathy often occurs between people who have close relationships. Twins are said to be able to sense each other’s thoughts and feelings, even at a great distance. Whales and dolphins are some animals that have been noted to use telepathic communication. Some people are able to communicate telepathically with animals.
History
The belief in telepathy goes back thousands of years. Although there is not much in recorded history on the topic, theories suggest that ancient cultures such as Egypt (or even earlier, in unrecorded, ‘lost’ civilizations) used telepathy to communicate. Philosophers in Ancient Greece spoke about telepathy mainly in relation to receiving messages while dreaming. Indigenous cultures around the world speak of various forms of “dream time” where individuals receive messages and guidance.
The word telepathy was coined in 1882 by a classical scholar, Frederic W.H. Meyers, founder of the Society for Psychical Research. In 1927, the mass telepathy experiment showed results that were only moderately successful but shed light on the existence of abilities and the need for more research. Psychologists Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung observed telepathic phenomena, as well as the psychologist/philosopher William James. The most well-known experiments in telepathy were those of J. B. Rhine and associates at Duke University, beginning in 1927. Rhine used a set of cards, called Zener Cards, designed by his colleague Karl Zener.
Types of Telepathy
- Latent
- Transfer of information with a time-lapse between transmission and reception
- Precognitive
- Transfer of information about the state of an individual’s mind in the past, present or future to another individual
- Emotive
- A form of remote influence, emotional transfer, transfer of kinesthetic sensations
- Superconscious
- Accessing the collective wisdom of humanity for knowledge
- Narrowband
- Being able to transmit and receive person to person
- Broadband
- Being able to transmit and receive over a group or regions
Telepathy and Clairvoyance
Part of a clairvoyant reading looks at how these open psychic abilities like telepathy are at birth and present time, on a scale of 1-100%. These are called Chakra Abilities. During readings, both readers and readees send and receive information, whether or not they are aware of it. Readers send ‘hellos’ to a readee’s spirit through the information communicated in a reading.
One way to develop telepathic abilities is to use Zener Cards, which were created to develop Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) including telepathy. Learning how to use psychic tools, clairvoyant meditation, and psychic reading is a great way to open up to this world of awareness and abilities. It offers a level of self-exploration and interaction with others that makes the experience fun and engaging.
Perhaps the purpose of telepathic relationships is to show us that all life originates from the same source. On a deeper soul level, it reminds us of the interconnectedness of our lives, our spirits, as one within the energy of the universe. This may be viewed as communion, where through our senses we may see how the self and others are more unified than separate. Telepathy is like human wifi and it is entertaining to think that one day we may not need external devices at all to send messages and communicate across time and space.

I wanted to know everything there is to know about telepathic communication. I am being telepathically harassed and I wanted to learn how to block it. Thanks.
