Divination is the art of seeing using practices. It is an enhancement or amplification of the ability to intuit or see what is already present in the reader. It is also possible to develop psychic awareness by using tools. Objects do not inherently hold the information. Instead, it is the reader that decodes the symbols and messages given. Dowsing is a method used to detect hidden sources of water, minerals, petroleum, or energies. Spiritual dowsing is a divination tool used to detect universal energies as well as energy fields surrounding all life. It may also be used to gain insight into questions. Dowsing is conducted using either a dowsing pendulum, made of metal, stone or minerals or L-shaped or Y-shaped dowsing rods, made from wood or metal. Dowsing is fun to explore energies or detect hidden materials.

Psychic detectives use ESP and paranormal abilities to solve crimes in conjunction with law enforcement. Although there have been criticisms as to the validity and success rate of their work, organizations such as the FBI and CIA openly admit to using psychics on cases.
