The Aura and Psychic Awareness
“Energy will do anything that can be done in the world; and no talents, no circumstances, no opportunities will make a two-legged animal a man without it.” – Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
The Aura
The aura is an energetic field that surrounds the body. Each layer corresponds to a chakra. The colors of the atmosphere are in a constant state of flux, and extensive interpretations may be found in the literature. The aura is a data storage center for your information and can offer insights into current energies influencing your life in the present time.
Are there times when you feel uncomfortable in crowded places? Are there moments when you feel as if your space is being invaded? Some people can only come so close to you. This is a reaction triggered by your aura.
Someone else’s aura may be intruding upon yours. In clairvoyant terms, we call this foreign energy; the energy of other people or things that do not belong to you.
At times, you feel uneasy in the presence of a particular person. When you enter a room, you sense something is wrong. The human aura is a strong electromagnetic field. We give off the electrical energy and absorb the magnetic one.
You can feel this energy force in a room full of people, where varying energies, positive and negative, are interchanged.
The aura is an extension of our energies, whether strong or weak, fair or otherwise, light and bright or dull or dense. It is a band of energy that surrounds us, a life energy that can be sensed around every living thing, plants, trees, animals, birds, and people.
The aura has seven layers, but the most accessible to human perception is the first three layers surrounding the human body. Auras can be seen with their eyes wide open, or they can also be seen psychically with their eyes closed.
Aura Color Meanings
When reading the aura, be sure to always trust your intuition. Colors are an essential aspect of aura reading. Below is a description of the popular meanings different colors hold:
- Black
- This is a color that needs to be clarified. There is nothing wrong with black in one’s aura. Black generally means one is shielding oneself from outside energies. This can also mean being unbalanced; one is hiding something or keeping secrets. A black ring usually indicates some form of abuse; adults who have not dealt with early abuse will carry this black ring till they are healed.
- Blue
- This comes in different shades. Gifted people have shades of blue in their aura. Intuitive people will show pale blue coloration within the purple, bursting out as rays of sunshine emanating from the heart outwards. A deeper blue can indicate loneliness. An intense blue shows devotion, honesty, and sound judgment, whereas muddier shades indicate an authoritative person or a tendency towards depression.
- Brown
- This color can indicate growth in a person. Seen around the head and with other colors emanating in combination, it means a person is developing mentally, intuitively, and organizing within. Brown by itself can indicate a lack of energy or one who has become “stagnant.”
- Gold
- Indicates lots of spiritual energy, in tune with oneself. Muddy gold means one has not come to terms with one’s higher levels.
- Yellow
- Intelligent people show this color around their heads. They are usually seen around a thinker, an analytical person. This could indicate a “balanced” person.
- Green
- Sympathetic to others, dependable, and has healing abilities. A muddier shade could indicate jealousy- like “green with envy.”
- Gray
- It can indicate intuition and creativity. Silvery gray shows femininity, while darker gray can mean secretiveness or physical imbalance.
- Orange
- Bright orange means one is growing emotionally and paranormally. A dull shade implies a person is unsure how to accept this growth. Muddy orange shows in a person with too much pride.
- Pink
- The color of love and honesty. It also depicts the quieter side of an artistic and creative person. Dark pink may indicate immaturity or changes in one’s love life. Dull pink, however, watch out; Someone is lying.
- Purple
- The color of intuition, a deeper purple hue, shows a strong-willed and passionate person. It can also reflect intense erotic imagination and be overbearing.
- Red
- A color of love or hate, strong emotions, and a lot of energy. An intense red color, however, may indicate a person ready to fly off the handle.
A Guide To Seeing Auras
Seeing the aura takes your eyes slightly out of focus. If you’ve ever seen those holographic picture-in-a-picture things, you shouldn’t have any trouble seeing auras as you do the same thing with your eyes.
Have a training partner stand in front of a light-colored wall in a dimly lit room. Have your partner hold one finger in front of their face, about 6 inches from their chin.
Now focus your eyes on their finger, not their face. Have them remove their fingers but keep looking at the same spot. You’ll have to relax your eyes a bit to do this. Now, using that same relaxed vision, if you look at them, you should be able to see a little line that runs all around them a couple of inches out from their body.
The next layer out is even fainter and may have colors associated with it. The different meanings of the colors vary widely depending on who you’re talking to. My advice in this area is to open up your awareness and see which colors are often associated with which types of people and their behaviors.
Play with this a bit. Does their aura change when they think happy thoughts? Sad thoughts? Angry thoughts?
Some people can see the aura instantly, and others must work at it. Stay put out if it takes a while. As you work with this, you’ll gradually become aware of even more subtle layers of energy that surround people. You may also find that you can feel another person’s chakras and even discern their dominant chakra, instantly telling you how that person will likely react to any given stimuli.
A Psychic Perspective
Although there are many views of what colors mean in the aura layers, it is purely subjective. The truth is that there is no definitive meaning for each color. Many psychics place specific meanings on colors, which prevents people from connecting to their intuition and understanding. Many online experts claim to know what people’s “resting aura color” is, which is inaccurate. There is no such thing as a color that remains in some fixed and static state. The meanings assigned to these aura colors impose views onto others and do not empower one to find meaning and understanding. Energy is dynamic and changing and is in a constant state of flux.
For this reason, you may sense or see a color in the aura that shifts and changes from moment to moment. After all, meaning is only based on what we choose to assign to a color or symbol and more a reflection of the internal states of the person observing than what is being viewed. In a clairvoyant reading and during clairvoyant training, there is an emphasis on not assigning a particular meaning to color and tune into information in the present time. In addition, there is a practice of not interpreting for a reader, for example, instead simply stating what you see and letting them find their meaning.
Cleaning and clearing the aura using clairvoyant tools and meditation is possible. Throughout the day, picking up the energies of the people and situations we encounter is easy. We may clear our space of foreign power, the energy of other people, or things that do not belong to us.
